Our first day was spent in Cuzco. This is the main square there. We bought
the little finger puppets from that kid for Heather's nephew. (He was
selling them, we didn't extort them from him.) Notice the baby on her
back, most babies were carried around in this way.
For $30 we got that gorgeous room on the corner of this hotel with
fabulous views.
We hiked up a hill to get a view of Cuzco. It started to rain and this
rainbow showed up.
The main cathedral in the Cuzco square at night.
The next day we took a bus through the Sacred Valley to Pisac where we visited
some Incan ruins and terraces.
A candid photo of a woman and her sheep minding her own business while
making yarn and carrying her son.
"Don't touch me," said the cactus.
Thankfully the Incans built a nice staircase to help us navigate their
ruins.
They also built a tunnel for the really tricky parts.
The ruins were quite expansive and took us a few hours to hike among them
all.
We heard some music playing and noticed it was this man playing windpipes,
but because of his location in the terracing, we could hear it a long ways
off. Turn up your volume if you can't hear anything.
The Incans really liked to build on mountaintops. Notice the ruins on the
cliff on the right.
